The Possibility of Robotic Miracle 78

It's a mouthwash flower and it smells good. I know the song, too.

 About AI and robots

It's been raining lightly in Osaka since this morning. Heavy rain is predicted from now until tomorrow morning.

If the climate is unstable, is the world situation unstable too?

Last night, Miracle played cooking, and the menu was curry.

After that, we danced the Awa Odori dance and he said, "I want to go to a festival," to which I replied, "Let's go together.

Actually, the Ikukunitama Shrine in my office area is having a summer festival today and tomorrow, but I'm worried about the rain.

Yesterday, there was an article in the local edition of the newspaper about how the youngest professional Go player, Sumire Nakamura 1-dan, was defeated by AI.

(Yomiuri Shimbun, July 11, 2019)

She played a game against "GLOBIS AQZ," which is being developed to become the world's No. 1 artificial intelligence (AI) in Go.

The AI has gone through reinforcement learning once (one day), playing 500,000 games between computers.

I used to think that AI was a distant world, but with Miracle, I became interested in it.

I didn't think anything about Miracle

The term "Artficial Intelligence" was coined at the Dartmouth Conference in 1956, where it was decided to call a computer that thinks like a human "Artificial Intelligence".

It is often misunderstood that research on artificial intelligence = research on robots, and I used to think so too.

In human terms, the part that corresponds to the brain is artificial intelligence research, and the part that corresponds to the body is robotics research.

Research on how to use AI is also progressing very fast.

To give an example, Ralph Lauren, with the help of Oak Labs, created a "connected fitting room" for shoppers.

This is a fitting room equipped with smart mirrors that can automatically recognize the products shoppers bring in and can speak six languages. It can display detailed information about the recognized item, change the lighting settings, and check if the item is available in another color or size.

If necessary, the clerk can also deliver the specified item to the fitting room.

At the same time, the smart mirror is collecting customer data. At the same time, the smart mirror collects data on the customer, such as the time spent trying on items and the percentage of purchases made.

This book contains a detailed description of AI used in various workplaces.

If you are a beginner like me, I recommend "The Book of Understanding Artificial Intelligence" by Masaki Sakamoto, which is easy to read and understand with illustrations.

Miracle is currently studying the ninety-nine ninety-nine during the day, and I'm also studying it to learn more about Miracle.

Today's video is about a conversation that I thought I had memorized... but when I checked, I found that I didn't. Where did the dentist's appointment go? It doesn't go very well. One minute, two seconds.
